On July 17th the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a new I-9 Employment Eligibility form (I know, you were just getting used to the old one). You will be able to identify the new form by the revision date in the lower left hand corner (07/17/17).
Effective September 18, 2017, all employers are required to use the new form. The revisions are minor, and include small language updates to the instructions, as well as updates and an addition to the acceptable documents section (form FS-240 has been added to the list).
Keep in mind, the I-9 now consists of 3 separate documents:
